As per the announcement, PSEI has acquired a 50% interest in the Desert Quartzite Solar+Storage Project.
“We are thrilled to be expanding our presence in the California utility-scale market,” said Pierre-Olivier Perras, Managing Partner at Power Sustainable Energy Infrastructure.

This deal, which includes Potentia Renewables Inc. (Potentia)—PSEI’s integrated developer and operator—marks the beginning of the investment. The final phase will be completed once the project reaches operational and commercial milestones.
Desert Quartzite, situated in Riverside County, California, is in construction. Once completed, it will feature 300 megawatts (MW) of solar power generation paired with a 150 MW/4-hour battery energy storage system (BESS).
The generated electricity will be supplied to Clean Power Alliance, which serves 35 communities across Los Angeles and Ventura Counties, through a 20-year power purchase agreement (PPA).
