SolarBank Corporation Announces Plans for 2.9 MW Solar Project in Gainesville, New York

SolarBank Corporation, a renewable and clean energy project developer, announced plans to develop the Silver Springs Project, a 2.9 megawatt direct current (MW DC) ground-mount solar power project in Gainesville, New York.,

This initiative adds to SolarBank's expanding portfolio of regional solar developments.

The business is working on an interconnection study and has obtained a site lease. Additionally, it is attempting to secure the funding and approvals required for the project's completion.

After the study, the Silver Springs Project will function as a community solar project, enabling locals to use renewable energy without putting solar panels on their homes.

The Silver Springs Project is anticipated to qualify for incentives under the NY-Sun Program of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, which aims to promote the use of solar energy throughout the state.

Renters and homeowners who participate in the project will receive credits on their electric bills for the renewable energy they produce, which will be integrated into the local electrical system.

SolarBank's goal is to provide countless families with clean, inexpensive energy, and community solar projects like Silver Springs are at the core of this effort.
