TotalEnergies signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Saint-Gobain to supply renewable electricity to Saint-Gobain’s French facilities.
Beginning in January 2026, the arrangement will supply Saint-Gobain with 875 GWh of renewable electricity over five years.
Under the PPA, Renewable electricity will be sourced from TotalEnergies’ wind and solar plants supported by guarantees of origin, generated from wind and solar plants located in the northeast, south of France, and the Loire Valley.
Under the terms of the PPA, renewable energy will come from TotalEnergies’ wind and solar projects in the Loire Valley, the northeast, and the south of France, supported by guarantees of origin.
This agreement follows a partnership between the two companies established in June 2023, under which TotalEnergies committed to providing Saint-Gobain with biomethane from its BioBéarn plant.

Sophie Chevalier, Vice President of Flexible Power & Integration of TotalEnergies, said, “We are delighted with this new contract with Saint-Gobain, a sign of our shared commitment to take carbon out of French industry. It also demonstrates our ability to offer electricity solutions that meet our client’s needs while ensuring the origin of the green electricity provided.”
She added, “In France, TotalEnergies has a renewable portfolio of over 2 GW, preventing the emission into the atmosphere of 800,000 tons of CO2 every year. That’s a persuasive argument for our customers.”

The PPA with Saint-Gobain is the latest in a series of contracts that TotalEnergies has signed with major international corporations, such as Air Liquide, Microsoft, Orange, and Amazon.
These partnerships highlight TotalEnergies’ decarbonisation initiatives, utilizing its renewable asset portfolio.
