IHI Power Services Corp. (IPSC), a provider of asset management and operations services, has been selected by Doral Renewables, LLC (Doral) to manage the assets of three large solar projects in Starke County, Indiana.
This development follows Doral’s initial selection of IPSC to handle asset management for the Great Bend Solar Project and the Mammoth North Solar Project, which is the first phase of the Mammoth Solar Project.
The solar project, when all four components are combined, is projected to generate 1.3 gigawatts (GW) of energy.
The first part of the project will be operational in the next few weeks, while construction on the following three phases is scheduled to begin in early 2025.

The Mammoth Solar project, which spans Starke and Pulaski Counties, is anticipated to produce clean energy, create hundreds of jobs, and generate millions of dollars in tax revenue for the surrounding municipalities.
Agrivoltaics, which combines solar power with agricultural practices including crop growing and cattle grazing, is one component of the Mammoth Solar project.
This initiative allows local farmers to continue utilizing the land while generating additional value.
The Mammoth Solar project was awarded for these efforts in July 2024 when it won the “Dual Use Plan of the Year” title at the first-ever North American Agrivoltaics Awards.

John R. Keller, the President & CEO of IPSC said, “Doral’s continued trust in IPSC to support their growing number of solar projects showcases the dedication to high-quality service that IPSC provides.”
He added, “We feel privileged to bring our expertise to Doral’s table, aligning with their vision for the project, and supporting the local communities of Indiana. This continued partnership underscores our commitment to growing with the renewable energy sector.”
With over $2.5 billion in long-term wholesale power purchase agreements already in place, Doral is currently working on over 13 GW of solar and storage projects across the United States.
