Enfinity Global announced that it has secured connectivity of over 2 GW of utility-scale solar and wind projects spread across the states of Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. This would further increase its footprint in India’s renewable energy sector with a focus to emulate the national trajectory toward clean energy.
The 2 GW portfolio would light up enough electricity to light up approximately 4.7 million homes, averting a yearly 49 million metric tons of CO2 emissions. The produced energy will supply government utilities and C&I consumers.
Carlos Domenech, CEO of Enfinity Global, emphasized the company’s role in India’s clean energy transition, said, “This milestone underscores our commitment to accelerating India’s renewable energy transition, with the aim of contributing to its ambitious goal of deploying 500 GW of non-fossil fuel energy capacity by 2030.”
He added, “Our global presence enables us to create capital and operational synergies, and when combined with our local capabilities, it positions us as a strategic and reliable partner for the long-term energy needs of our customers in India.”
Projects Progressing Toward Construction
Enfinity Global is to start constructing over 1 GW of renewable energy projects this year that are to be commissioned at Maharashtra and Karnataka sites in Q1 2025.This includes 240 MW of operational projects, 2 GW with granted connectivity, and an additional 1 GW of solar, wind, and energy storage projects currently in development.
In Q4 2024, Enfinity secured a 300 MW Solar-Wind Hybrid project through SJVN’s competitive bidding process, further expanding its clean energy initiatives.

Scaling Up Renewable Energy Production
Within the next three years, Enfinity plans to start its renewable power plants and provide over 5 GWh of clean electricity per year. It will achieve this by securing PPAs with C&I customers and providing them with a stable source of renewable energy.
The company is also proactively engaging with national and international financial partners to support its growth in India. In May 2024, Enfinity Global secured $135 million from Canada Pension Plan Investment Board to fund solar and wind project development across India.
