The agreement, which was signed in the presence of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and Her Excellency Giorgia Meloni, Prime Minister of Italy, opening the door to a robust multilateral framework to propel energy security and sustainability in the Mediterranean region.
Executives such as Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi (Masdar CEO), Jasim Husain Thabet (TAQA Group CEO), and Claudio Descalzi (Eni CEO) inked the framework agreement to drive forward a tripartite initiative.

The deal showcases the UAE, Italy, and Albania’s resolve to accelerate energy transformation and enhance Mediterranean energy security.
Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and Chairman of Masdar, said, “This agreement will support the shared vision of our nations to strengthen cross-border renewable energy collaboration.”
