NTPC Renewable Energy Limited acquired a 1000 MW solar project in Uttar Pradesh. It emerged as the successful bidder at an e-reverse auction held by Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited, UPPCL. This development was filed with the Bombay Stock Exchange on 4th January.
Details of the Solar Power Bid
The tender was part of the “Selection of Solar Power Developers for Setting up 2000 MW ISTS-connected Solar PV Power Projects in India under Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding.”

NTPC Renewable Energy quoted to secure a capacity of 1000 MW with a competitive tariff of Rs 2.56 per kWh. The organization now awaits a Letter of Approval from the UPPCL.
