Poland’s largest private energy group, Polenergia, announced a six-year deal with one of the world’s most famous video game developers, CD PROJEKT, to provide renewable energy for all its needs. The deal will bring almost 22 GWh of zero-emission electricity for CD PROJEKT’s Warsaw campus from 2025.
Energy from Wind and Solar Farms
The energy will be produced by the Skurpie and Rajgród wind farms, as well as the photovoltaic Szprotawa farm, owned by Polenergia. The electric power sold to CD PROJEKT will also be certified, with guarantees of origin, evidencing that such power comes wholly from renewable sources.
Robert Rutowicz, Vice President of Polenergia Sprzedaż Sp. z o.o., expressed his satisfaction with delivering renewable energy to one of the most recognizable Polish companies globally. He highlighted that Polenergia’s partnership with CD PROJEKT demonstrates how even the most technologically advanced, globally operating companies can actively support the energy transition and adopt green solutions. He emphasized that the collaboration marks a step towards a more sustainable future for the creative sector.
Helping CD PROJEKT reduce emissions
This alliance is in tandem with the firm’s sustainability targets. CD PROJEKT has already established its target to decrease as much as 42% of emissions from the business operations of the company by 2030, independent of the business growth it hopes to achieve. This agreement with Polenergia marks a significant step in achieving these targets.
The agreement also ensures stable pricing and predictability of energy supply, which is critical amid market fluctuations. The estimated value of the contract is approximately PLN 12 million, offering CD PROJEKT long-term cost control and a reliable renewable energy source.

Commitment to a Green Future
This new energy contract is a part of the bigger commitment by CD PROJEKT towards sustainability and the building of a modern, environmentally-friendly campus. Starting 2025, the energy powering CD PROJEKT RED and GOG.com offices and server rooms will come from wind and solar power, thus emphasizing the company’s commitment to being environmentally conscious in its operations.
The deal is also in line with the Energy Standard 2051, which ensures that 100% of the supplied energy comes from renewable sources.. Polenergia’s compliance with this standard is verified annually by an external certification body.
