Macquarie Asset Management declared that it had given Nadara over €420 million in debt financing on behalf of institutional clients. Nadara is a prominent name in the renewable energy market and one of the largest renewable independent power producers (IPP) in Europe.
Nadara – Renewable Energy
Nadara owns and operates an extensive portfolio of renewable energy assets. Their portfolio includes wind, solar, biomass, and energy storage. The company manages nearly 4.3 GW of installed capacity. In addition, there is an additional 14 GW in the development pipeline.
Using its diversified solar and wind energy portfolio, Nadara reported remitting approximately 1.5 million tons of CO2 equivalent greenhouse gas emissions in 2023. This achievement displays the power producer’s dedication to achieving a clean energy transition and promoting renewable energy for a sustainable future.

Nadara’s Growth and Macquarie’s Ongoing Support
After Ventient Energy and Renantis merged, Nadara was established in 2024. The merger formed the largest non-utility IPP in Europe. Renantis (formerly Falck Renewables) had previously received €100 million in loan financing from Macquarie Asset Management in 2022. The present funding shows ongoing support for the company’s expansion and extends previous investments.
Macquarie Asset Management’s Role
Macquarie Asset Management’s Credit manages assets of around €205 billion globally. With a focus on delivering solutions across a variety of risk and return spectrums, private credit assets on the platform amount to roughly €35 billion.
Renewables are increasingly projected to become part and parcel of infrastructure debt. This shift will occur due to the estimated growth of the private credit market. The market is anticipated to grow from $1.7 trillion to $2.8 trillion globally by 2028.
Alice Pulbrook’s Statement on the Investment
Alice Pulbrook, a Senior Vice President at Macquarie Asset Management, said: “Since our initial investment in the business in 2022, it has been a pleasure to witness the growth of the company into a leading renewables IPP. We are delighted to continue to support Nadara as it delivers on its ambition to provide the energy solutions critical to creating a more sustainable energy system.”
Looking Ahead
Macquarie Asset Management’s ongoing support positions Nadara to expand its renewable energy portfolio. This financing will enable Nadara to continue its mission. Their mission includes driving sustainable energy solutions, reducing carbon emissions, and contributing to the global transition toward cleaner, renewable energy sources.
