Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited, a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, announced signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Motors Limited.
The agreement aims to install 200 fast-charging stations for electric commercial vehicles (CVs) in metropolises, including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata.
This partnership supports the growth of a sustainable mobility ecosystem by facilitating easy access to infrastructure for small electric CV charging and assisting Tata Motors’ electric CV customers in cutting expenses and increasing profitability.
The expansion of the charging network will enable electric CV users to access nearly 1,000 fast chargers nationwide.

Vinay Pathak, the Vice president and business head of Tata Motors, said, “We’re pleased to strengthen our partnership with Tata Power to transform the electric commercial vehicle landscape by ensuring ease of access to fast chargers at convenient locations across the country. Â
He added, “It has been our endeavour to not only engineer and manufacture world-class electric vehicles, but also help develop the necessary ecosystem to democratize the use of these eco-friendly and emission-free vehicles. This partnership will also explore avenues to maximize the use of renewable energy to make electric vehicle operations greener.”

Tata Power’s EZ Charge network, which currently spans over 530 cities and towns, includes over 100,000 home chargers, over 5,500 public and semi-public charging stations, and 1,100 bus charging stations.
These charging stations are located at highways, hotels, malls, hospitals, offices, and residential complexes.
