1PointFive, a company specializing in carbon capture, utilization, and sequestration (CCUS), signed an agreement with Enterprise Products Partners L.P. to develop a carbon dioxide (CO2) transportation network, exemplifying the strength of a 1PointFive enterprise partner transportation network.
This network aims to facilitate the development of the Bluebonnet Sequestration Hub, a large-scale carbon storage initiative that 1PointFive is developing in southeast Texas. The initiative highlights the importance of 1PointFive enterprise partner transportation.
Being a subsidiary of Occidental, 1PointFive is leveraging Occidental’s extensive experience of over five decades in managing CO2 to create solutions for industrial decarbonisation.
According to the Transportation Services Agreement, Enterprise will develop a pipeline network, thereby enhancing the 1PointFive enterprise partner transportation capabilities.
This pipeline will offer transportation services to transfer CO2 emissions from third-party industrial facilities around the Houston Ship Channel to the Bluebonnet Hub.
Once 1PointFive confirms its readiness, Enterprise will promptly initiate the construction of the new pipeline, which will be located alongside existing infrastructure to improve efficiency as part of the 1PointFive enterprise partner transportation plan.

Jeff Alvarez, President of 1PointFive Sequestration, said, “We are excited to reach this milestone and look forward to collaborating with Enterprise to build a CO2 transportation network for our sequestration hub, which is designed to provide a reliable and efficient way for hard-to-abate sectors to address their CO2 emissions.”
He added, “This agreement effectively pairs our expertise in managing large volumes of CO2 with Enterprise’s decades of midstream experience, thereby bringing confidence to industrial customers seeking a decarbonisation solution.”
Bob Sanders, Executive Vice President of Asset Optimization for Enterprise’s general partner, noted that the project builds on Enterprise’s longstanding relationship with Occidental.
He further highlighted Enterprise’s commitment to leveraging its integrated network to provide a dependable, cost-effective CO2 transport solution.
