Catalyze Secures $85 Million Tax Equity Financing from RBC to Fund 75MW of Solar Projects
Catalyze secures $85M from RBC to accelerate 75MW of distributed solar projects across the U.S., reinforcing its 300MW clean energy portfolio and community-focused sustainability mission.

Catalyze, an integrated developer and Independent Power Producer (IPP) of distributed renewable energy properties, has obtained an $85 million tax equity investment from RBC Community Investments.

The financing will be used to construct and commission around 75 megawatts (MW) of commercial and industrial (C&I) and community solar projects throughout the US during 2025.

Growing a National Distributed Energy Portfolio

The investment represents an important milestone in Catalyze's mission to scale distributed renewable energy infrastructure. With this new capital injection, the company's active portfolio of operating and under-construction projects stands at 300MW. The funding also reaffirms Catalyze's relationship with RBC, demonstrating mutual commitment to scaling clean energy deployment.

Jared Haines, CEO of Catalyze, said, “RBC is a valued financing partner, and we are pleased to further expand our relationship with this latest investment.”

He added, “This financing enables us to further our mission to bring scalable distributed generation projects to businesses and communities nationwide.”

Supporting Local Clean Energy Development

RBC's investment will support an expanding pipeline of distributed energy resources aimed at providing environmental and economic value to property owners, businesses, and communities in several states.

Jonathan Cheng, RBC Managing Director, said the investment in the portfolio reflects their dedication to driving clean energy solutions in local communities. He stated that he is looking forward to working with Catalyze on the strategic deployment of these and subsequent projects.

Catalyze continues to be supported strategically by its private equity sponsors, EnCap Investments and Actis, as it continues to expand its presence in the US distributed energy market.
