Geronimo Power Launches Ross and Fayette Solar Projects
Geronimo Power inaugurates Ross and Fayette Solar projects in Ohio, bringing $73 million in economic impact and offsetting 4.5 million metric tons of CO₂.

Geronimo Power has officially commenced operations at its Ross County and Fayette Solar projects, located across Ross, Fayette, and Highland counties in Ohio. The combined initiatives are projected to generate an economic impact of $73 million over the next two decades, contributing to the company's growing footprint in Ohio. With the addition of these projects, Geronimo's total economic impact in the state is expected to exceed $160 million.

Economic and Tax Revenue Contributions

Blake Nixon, President and CEO of Geronimo Power, “The addition of Ross and Fayette to our Ohio operating portfolio brings our collective projected economic impact to more than $160 million across the Buckeye state.”

He added, “We're proud of the footprint we've built here, and we want to extend a huge thank you to the state of Ohio and our project host communities for opening their doors to our business and investments."

As part of its commitment to the community, Geronimo Power has pledged to donate $670,000 over the first 20 years of operation from the Ross and Fayette projects.

The funds will be managed by The Chillicothe-Ross Community Foundation and The Greenfield Foundation, with representatives from these organizations present at the festival to receive symbolic checks for the charitable donations.

Beyond economic impacts, the Ross and Fayette Solar projects provide significant environmental benefits. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency's greenhouse gas equivalencies calculator, the combined projects are expected to offset approximately 4.5 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions over the first 20 years.
