Siemens Energy Inc., a renewable energy firm, and Danish electrolyzer manufacturer Topsoe A/S are among the numerous recipients poised to benefit from approximately $2 billion in clean energy tax credits, slated for announcement by the Biden administration on Friday.
Sources familiar with the matter, who requested anonymity as the specifics have not yet been disclosed, revealed that the Department of Energy will oversee the distribution of these awards.
The initiative is part of a tax credit program to support clean energy manufacturers, which received a significant boost of $10 billion through President Joe Biden’s landmark climate legislation, the Inflation Reduction Act.

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm will unveil the awards alongside North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper during a visit to a Siemens Energy facility in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The company, which is expanding its plant in Charlotte, North Carolina, to manufacture large power transformers, will host the event.
The Energy Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Last month, the department announced it would allocate a total of $4 billion in credits for over 100 projects but refrained from disclosing the recipients to protect tax privacy.
However, the companies featured in Friday’s announcement have consented to being publicly named.
