In a press release, Qualitas Energy announced the inking of a deal of long-term virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with Salesforce for 27 MWp of its solar PV pipeline located in Italy.
According to the agreement, Salesforce will purchase renewable energy generated by Qualitas Energy’s assets for the next 15 years.
This agreement will ensure the continuity of maintaining 100% renewable energy for Salesforce’s operations. The mark of utilizing 100% renewable energy was first achieved in 2021.
According to the release, the renewable electricity generated by the solar facilities will power 13,500 homes and reduce 15,700 tons of CO2 emissions.
