TMEIC Corporation Americas, a leading provider of renewable energy technologies and a subsidiary of TMEIC Corporation of Japan, has launched its cutting-edge photovoltaic (PV) inverter manufacturing facility in Waller County, Texas. The 144,000 square-foot Westport facility began production in November 2024 and hit well above projected numbers, producing more than 300 utility-scale PV inverters through February 2025. This marks TMEIC’s continued advancement of US-based manufacturing while continually accelerating the growth of the renewable energy sector.
In mid-November, TMEIC celebrated its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with a grand opening ceremony, where company senior executives and some key clients and partners participated along with government local dignitaries. Guests had the opportunity to tour the facility, view live demonstrations of the inverter production process, and learn more about TMEIC’s continued investments in local manufacturing and clean energy solutions
US Manufacturing Capabilities Expansion
Manmeet S. Bhatia, TMEIC Corporation Americas President and CEO, added, “We are excited to see the Westport facility fully operational and producing high quality PV inverters that will help drive the transition to clean, sustainable energy in North America.”

The new TMEIC PV manufacturing facility will employ a highly skilled workforce to meet growing market demands while maintaining high quality production. Besides the increased production capacity, the facility will also generate employment opportunities in the locality and support the growth of Waller County’s economy. The county has been promoting a pro business climate and just recently approved a tax abatement for the project.
TMEIC intends to increase the capacity of the facility and make improvements to enhance innovation, thus strengthening its position in renewable energy.
