Expro, one of the major energy service providers, with low-cost, innovative solutions has won major contracts from OMV Petrom, Southeastern Europe’s integrated energy producer, worth more than $10 million for its contribution in the Neptun Deep gas project in the Black Sea.
Aiding Romania’s Biggest Gas Project
The Neptun Deep project is Romania’s biggest natural gas project and is an important contributor to satisfying the nation’s growing energy demand. Expro’s contribution is the provision of a range of specialized services, such as its subsea landing string (SSLS), SeaCure cementing technology, tubular running services (TRS), and Coretrax Advance drilling tools
In addition, these new technologies will play a significant role in enabling the offshore operations in the Romanian Black Sea, where the Neptun Deep gas fields are located.
Strengthening Eastern Europe Operations
Andrei Ion, Expro’s Senior Area Manager for Europe, Mediterranean, and Caspian regions,stated that the company is advancing its plans to expand operations and enhance its support for the energy industry in Eastern Europe and beyond with the awarding of these contracts. He also mentioned that Neptun Deep is a crucial energy project for Romania and expressed pride in being selected to contribute to this important development.
