CHiQ, a brand of smart home appliances, secured two certifications at the 2024 IFA exhibition by TÜV.
These comprise the Product Carbon Footprint Verification Statement for CHiQ’s washing machines and refrigerators as well as the Organizational Greenhouse Gas Verification Statement.
The certifications support CHiQ’s commitment to sustainable practices and its goal of lowering carbon emissions.
They measure the carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions directly or indirectly generated by individuals, organizations, or products over a specific period.

Robert Ostendorf, the Head if Global Consumer product service of TUV SUD Service Gmbh, said, “CHiQ’s efforts to reduce CO2 emissions align closely with TÜV’s philosophy of promoting green living and sustainable development. We are excited about CHiQ’s ongoing initiatives to provide consumers with more eco-friendly and efficient home appliances.”
CHiQ established a dual-carbon management committee earlier this year to enhance environmental energy efficiency throughout its supply chain.
This initiative aims to minimize emissions, prioritize energy-efficient products, and encourage the use of sustainable materials in manufacturing processes.
