As per its latest announcement, Axpo Polska has finalized a route-to-market power purchase agreement (PPA) with RWE Renewables Poland, a division of the global renewables leader RWE.
This landmark agreement in Poland ensures that Axpo will secure the entire output from RWE’s renewable energy operations within the country.
RWE’s wind and solar energy portfolio in Poland has a total installed capacity of 628 megawatts (MW) and produces around 1,500 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of electricity annually.

Under this agreement, Axpo Polska will purchase the electricity generated by RWE’s assets, including wind and solar technologies.

Axpo Polska Head of Origination and Board Member Mateusz Marczewski, said, “This agreement with RWE is one of the largest solar and wind energy offtake agreements to be signed in recent times in Poland.”
