Boviet Solar Technology Co. Ltd, a solar energy company, announced its achievement once again as a Tier 1 PV module manufacturer by Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) for the third quarter of 2024.
Specialising in Monocrystalline photovoltaic (PV) cells and advanced Gamma series Monofacial and Vega series Bifacial PV modules, Boviet Solar first attained this ranking in 2017.
BNEF, a company that conducts research and analysis on the transition to a lower-carbon economy, uses a tiering system based on bankability that evaluates a manufacturer’s long-term viability and product reliability among the several PV module manufacturers in the market.
The rating also guides capital allocation, helps choose suppliers, and ensures project execution, which further assists stakeholders in evaluating performance and making informed decisions.
To gain Tier 1 status, companies must provide their own-brand, own-manufactured PV modules to at least six different solar projects financed by six distinct banks.
These projects must meet specific criteria, including a minimum capacity of 5.0 megawatts (MW) or higher and be tracked in the BNEF database.
Scott Chen, the VP of Global Sales and Marketing at Boviet Solar said, “Maintaining our Tier 1 ranking from BNEF is a testament to Boviet Solar’s overall strength and our competitive advantage as a reliable and trusted partner in the solar energy industry. This recognition underscores our dedication to providing high-quality, bankable solar solutions.”
Additionally, Boviet Solar has also been ranked among Wood Mackenzie’s top 10 PV model manufacturers and recognized by Sinovoltaics as one of the top 10 financially stable PV module manufacturers.
