Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, recently met with Ambassador Hiroshi Suzuki of Japan to discuss a potential renewable energy project, according to a report by The Economic Times.
The parties involved met during the Ambassador’s visit to the Mundra Port in Gujarat, the site of the world’s largest hybrid renewable energy park in Khavda. The Khavda Solar Park has been under construction since 2019, and the construction cost is estimated to be around $19 billion.

In a press release, Adani Green Energy Ltd. said the company operationalised “551 MW solar capacity in Khavda, Gujarat, by supplying power to the national grid” in February this year.
According to the release, Adani Green Energy Ltd. plans to operationalise 30 GW of renewable energy capacity in the next five years. The release also mentioned that when the park is complete, it will be recognized as the “largest renewable energy installation in the world.
