The Khavda Renewable Energy Park, with a capacity of 30 gigawatts (GW), is spread across 538 square kilometres of barren land in Gujarat.
The park is part of India’s renewable energy goals, which aim to achieve a target of at least 500 GW of non-fossil-fuel energy capacity and reduce carbon emissions by 45% by 2030.
It will also support the government’s goal of achieving 50% of electric power installed capacity from renewable sources.
