Solar Projects Deliver Tangible Benefits
The new solar systems cover 380,000 square feet of Metro Self Storage, already delivering significant value and energy savings. These projects will offset 1.6 million pounds of CO2 annually, supporting Metro’s efforts to reduce its environmental impact. Importantly, Metro deployed the solar installations with no upfront cost, allowing the company to enjoy renewable energy benefits without expenses.
Additionally, the six solar-powered self-storage facilities feature climate-controlled units, advanced security, elevator access, and drive-up loading bays for convenience.
Nick Gerou, Chief Investment Officer at Metro said, “Deploying solar across our portfolio has been an incredible step forward for our business.”
He added, “Not only are we unlocking new revenue, but we’re also powering our facilities with clean energy and achieving our sustainability objectives. The team at Wunder has been an outstanding partner, guiding us seamlessly through the process and ensuring success every step of the way.”
