National Grid Renewables, a North American renewable energy company, announced the commencement of onsite construction for the Blevins Solar Project in Falls County, Texas.
The Blevins project will produce 270 megawatts (MW) of pure solar energy once completed.
Over the course of its 20-year operation, the project is expected to bring in around $90 million in revenue, which includes an estimated $52 million in taxes for Falls County, the surrounding schools, and emergency services.
Additionally, the project will bring 360 construction and service jobs managed by Mortenson Construction.

The project will use Series 6 Plus modules from American manufacturer First Solar.
In late 2023, it was announced that two power purchase agreements (PPAs) for the project would be executed.
