Oklo Inc., an advanced nuclear technology firm, and Switch, a leading provider of AI, cloud, and enterprise data centers, have signed a non-binding Master Power Agreement. This deal, one of the largest clean power agreements, enables Oklo to deploy 12 gigawatts of sustainable energy by 2044.
Master Agreement for Long-Term Clean Power Supply
The Master Power Agreement sets a collaboration framework between Oklo and Switch, with binding agreements finalized as projects hit milestones. Oklo will build and operate nuclear powerhouses to supply electricity to Switch data centers across the US via power agreements. The deal will speed up Oklo’s initial powerhouse deployments and position the company to scale operations with growing demand.
Moreover, Switch will help Oklo leverage its execution capabilities and shape the financial and infrastructure model for large-scale nuclear energy deployment.
This collaboration underscores Switch’s ongoing commitment to sustainability. Since January 2016, Switch has powered all its data centers with 100% renewable energy, totaling nearly 984 million kilowatt-hours annually. The partnership with Oklo supports Switch’s mission to build sustainable infrastructure and strengthen its leadership in data center sustainability.
Rob Roy, Founded and CEO of Switch said, “The relationship with Oklo underscores our commitment to deploying advanced nuclear power at a transformative scale for our data centers, further enhancing our offerings of one of the world’s most advanced data center infrastructures to current and future Switch clients.”
He added, “By utilizing Oklo’s powerhouses, we aim to ensure that Switch remains the leader in data center sustainability while supporting our vision of energy abundance.”

Paving the Way for Nuclear Power in AI and Beyond
Jacob DeWitte, Co-Founder and CEO of Oklo, expressed excitement over the partnership, noting that it exemplifies the shared vision for nuclear energy’s role in supporting AI and providing abundant, sustainable energy. The long-term nature of the agreement will allow both companies to adapt and scale their operations, meeting the increasing electricity demands of artificial intelligence and computing workloads.
This agreement highlights Oklo’s model of selling clean, reliable, and affordable nuclear energy, focusing on power instead of plants. Oklo’s Aurora powerhouses will meet the growing energy demands of expanding industries like AI in the coming decades.
