Qualitas Energy announced that it has completed the acquisition of a 250 MW wind energy portfolio in Germany. The purchased portfolio includes four wind farm projects.
These four projects are already in an advanced stage of development, featuring a total of 37 planned turbines. The four projects are located in the federal states of Saxony-Anhalt, Hesse, Lower Saxony, and Baden- Württemberg.
Once the wind farms commence operations, they will provide power to more than 166,000 households. This is equivalent to powering a city with a population of residents, such as Duisburg in Germany.

This acquisition represents a significant enhancement to Qualitas Energy’s expanding portfolio in Germany. The acquisition follows the purchase of a new 32 turbine wind farm near the North Sea coast of Germany and seven wind farms with a repowering capacity of 173 MW, scattered throughout the country—both of which were announced within the last month.
In addition, this marks the company’s largest deal since it purchased DunoAir’s 1.4 GW German onshore wind development division. Capitalizing on this momentum, Qualitas Energy is diligently pursuing its investment objectives in the German market. It is supported by its main fund, Qualitas Energy Fund V, which was finalized in 2022 with €2.4 billion.
Johannes Overbeck, Co-CEO of Qualitas Energy in Germany, said, “Wind power is already one of the most cost-effective and reliable sources of sustainable electricity, which is why it is at the heart of our investment strategy,”
He added that their focus was on leveraging its potential through impactful projects that drive the energy transition and deliver lasting benefits to the environment and local communities.
