Renewco Power, a UK-based renewable energy platform, announced a joint venture with INDHO, a green hydrogen developer, to develop a new platform focused on green hydrogen projects.
The project, Indhyco, is a development platform “exclusively focused on green hydrogen through the Spanish market”, according to the announcement by Renewco.
Indhyco aims to create green hydrogen initiatives, focusing on industrial usage. It will do this by producing hydrogen efficiently near its point of use and enabling it with renewable energy generation.

The joint venture between Renewco and INDHO will combine their expertise to develop 1 GW of green hydrogen projects to the ready-to-build (RTB0) stage within five years.
Renewco, launched in 2021, focuses on developing solar PV, onshore wind, battery storage, and green hydrogen projects across Europe and the US.
It has amassed a 5GW pipeline from 50 projects in the UK, Spain, Italy, and the US, many of which will be nearing the ready-to-build (RTB) stage within three years.
INDHO, an early developer of renewable hydrogen projects in Spain and Chile since 2016, has two green hydrogen projects in Spain now ready to build.

Pedro Perejon, Renewco’s Business Development Director in Spain, said,“This new platform will strengthen Renewco’s position and diversify our existing green hydrogen development strategy in Spain, one of the key regions in this fast-growing sector.”
He added, “Furthermore, the opportunity to work with our partners Fernando and Ricardo, two pioneering leaders of the green hydrogen sector in Spain with more than 25 years of experience, will enable the new platform to hit the ground running and give us a deep-rooted knowledge of the green hydrogen ecosystem in Spain.
