Resource Innovations, in partnership with the Arizona Governor’s Office of Resiliency, announced the launch of Efficiency Arizona, a new initiative to increase energy efficiency in homes across the state.
This initiative will distribute federal funds to Arizona residents and is scheduled to be implemented in phases beginning this autumn.
Efficiency Arizona is designed to improve energy efficiency, promote clean energy, and bring cost savings to Arizona residents.

One of its primary focuses is replacing air conditioning units with heat pumps to meet the needs of the locals who face extreme heat and income requirements of below 80% area median income (AMI) and 80-150% AMI.
The initiative is part of a broader national effort funded by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Home Energy Rebates programs under the Inflation Reduction Act, which President Biden signed on August 16, 2022.
Maren Mahoney, the director of the Arizona governor’s office of resiliency, “We are pleased to partner with Resource Innovations to bring Efficiency Arizona to life.”
He added, “Their expertise in implementing energy efficiency programs is invaluable as we work to make these critical resources accessible to all Arizonans. Together, we are committed to helping our communities achieve greater energy resilience and environmental sustainability.”

The initiative will be introduced in three key phases:
Phase I focuses on replacing air conditioning units with energy-efficient heat pumps for Arizonans who are eligible.
Phase II will introduce the HOMES program, offering rebates for home energy-saving retrofits.
Phase III, the Multifamily Pilot Program, aims to improve energy efficiency in multifamily properties.
Efficiency Arizona also encompasses the HEAR (Homeowners Electrification and Appliance Rebate) program, providing rebates to low-income and historically underserved households for installing electrification equipment.
Additionally, Resource Innovations will collaborate with local organizations and industry associations across Arizona to ensure the implementation of efficiency measures.
