Strategic Partnerships with Prologis and Walmart
Solar Landscape also announced new partnerships in 2024. In September, Prologis, a global leader in logistics real estate, partnered with the company to develop 30 million square feet of commercial rooftop solar projects. This partnership supports Prologis’s goal of deploying 1 gigawatt of on-site solar and battery storage by 2025.
In October, Walmart committed to investing in 74 commercial rooftop solar projects in Maryland and Illinois. These projects will generate nearly 43 megawatts of solar capacity, enhancing grid infrastructure and providing affordable clean energy.
Record Solar Development with 40 Million Square Feet of Leased Space
In addition to securing financing, Solar Landscape leased an unprecedented 40 million square feet of commercial rooftop space in 2024. This expansion will generate 500 megawatts of solar power to supply 80,000 households. With this new space, the company is positioning itself to meet rising energy demands from AI, data centers, and the electrification of the US economy.
Building the Future of Commercial Clean Energy
Solar Landscape is also investing in technology to streamline rooftop solar development. The company has developed a platform that provides real-time project tracking, performance monitoring, and financial insights. This platform enhances collaboration and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
