Avaada Group, a green energy solutions provider, laid the foundation for its new manufacturing facility, Avaada Electro Pvt. Ltd., in Addl Butibori Industrial Park in Nagpur.
The ceremony was inaugurated by Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
It is a component of Avaada’s ₹13,650 crore investment, which aims to further India’s objectives for renewable energy.
The plant will concentrate on the whole solar value chain, from the fabrication of photovoltaic (PV) cells and modules to the ingot-wafer stage.
In keeping with India’s goals to attain net-zero emissions by 2070 and a 50% reduction in carbon emissions by 2030, it will also produce next-generation batteries and electrolysers.

Shri Devendra Fadnavis said, “This facility demonstrates Avaada’s commitment to Maharashtra’s industrial growth and aligns with both state and national objectives to promote sustainable energy solutions.
He added, “It reinforces Maharashtra as a key hub for solar manufacturing, and we are excited to see the impact it will have on the region’s economy and environment.”
The project’s first phase will begin with a wafer-to-module production line with a 5 GW solar cell and 3 GW module capacity.
These cells, made with TOPCon Cell Technology, will support Avaada’s Dadri Module Plant, which is currently in operation.

Through partnerships with the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Avaada intends to strengthen its workforce skilling, upskilling, and reskilling initiatives.
Avaada also plans to establish other facilities for the manufacturing of different solar components, such as junction boxes, aluminium frames, and module glass.
The company also plans to establish ancillary units to produce solar components, contributing to a domestic supply chain and generating around 1,000 additional jobs.
