Recent showers in Bengaluru have provided relief to residents from the persistent heat experienced over the last few months. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the city is anticipated to receive additional rainfall, and wet weather is forecasted to continue until May 19.
Over the next seven days, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura should anticipate fairly widespread to moderate rainfall, along with isolated thunderstorms and lightning.
For Bengaluru, the IMD has forecast a hot and sunny day on May 7 following heavy rains. Dry weather and continued heatwave conditions are expected, with daytime temperatures reaching as high as 38.8°C.
However, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are possible towards the end of the day.
