Baker Hughes, an energy technology company and Repsol, a multi-energy company, announced a partnership to enhance artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities using the Leucipa automated field production solution.
The collaboration, announced on October 11, 2024, will involve deploying AI-powered automation workflows across Repsol’s global assets to optimise production, boost efficiency, and reduce emissions.

Amerino Gatti, the Executive Vice President of Oilfield Services and equipment at Baker Hughes, said, “Artificial intelligence is revolutionizing energy production, and Leucipa enables companies to operate more efficiently and recover more from their assets.”

Leucipa automates field production processes by using data to drive intelligent operations, leading to optimised production and reduced environmental impact.
Its focus on the specific outcomes desired by operators is expected to improve production efficiency, minimize emissions, and maximize the recovery of oil and gas resources.
