Summit Materials, a producer of aggregates and cement, announced the expansion and reconfiguration of its Green America Recycling operations at the Davenport Cement Plant.
A key component of this project is the installation of the cutting-edge FLSmidth FUELFLEXTM Pyrolyzer system, which will enable the facility to employ more non-hazardous alternative fuels.
With a $38 million investment, Summit aims to replace around 55% of its fossil fuel consumption with non-hazardous waste.
