ITZA, an e-learning specialist, intends to launch its One Planet digital resource, an interdisciplinary online program on climate change and how to protect the planet, in every Scottish school.
The aim is to help teachers encourage independent learning about building a sustainable economy. The program is based on David Attenborough’s four actions to transform how we live, decrease the rate of global warming, and protect the natural world.
The four actions—Eliminate Waste, Go Net Zero, Revive the Oceans, and Rewild the World—will be included in the One Planet program, which is put together with the help of partners such as the BBC, Gettyimages, HarperCollins, the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), and NatureScot.
The e-learning specialist also announced that the Scottish Building Society is the first commercial partner for the program.
ITZA plans to deliver the program to every Scottish state school listed on GLOW, Educational Scotland’s national intranet. After achieving the regional distribution goals, ITZA intends to initiate a global rollout of the program in 2025 with integrations in Microsoft and Google’s educational platforms.
These platforms are used by over 300 million people worldwide and will aid ITZA in delivering the program to as many youths as possible.
As part of the initiative, ITZA is providing two young Scots with the opportunity to attend the annual Villars Symposium, which is conducted by the Villars Institute in Switzerland. Several young leaders and ecopreneurs from various parts of the world will attend the symposium.
