JSW Energy has announced that its subsidiary, JSW Neo Energy, has been awarded a letter of award from NTPC for the development of a 700 MW solar project.
With this latest project win, JSW Energy’s total locked-in generation capacity has surged to 13.3 GW, with solar power contributing 3.1 GW, as per a BSE filing.
JSW Neo Energy Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of JSW Energy, has received the Letter of Award for the establishment of a 700 MW ISTS-connected Solar Power Project from NTPC Limited, according to the filing.
Currently, JSW Energy boasts an installed generation capacity of 7.2 GW and anticipates reaching 9.8 GW of installed capacity by CY24.The company has set ambitious targets for the future, aiming to achieve a generation capacity of 20 GW and an energy storage capacity of 40 GWh before 2030. Furthermore, JSW Energy has committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
