In a significant development, the Osun State Government has announced that two separate investment conglomerates, Allegiance CNG Limited and First Tricon Construction Services Limited, have pledged a combined investment of $80 million in infrastructure and gas projects within the state.
The announcement, made by Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the Spokesperson for the Osun State Governor, detailed the commitment of Allegiance CNG Limited and First Tricon Construction Services Limited to sustainable energy solutions and infrastructure development, respectively.
Allegiance CNG Limited plans to invest $20 million in power generation projects across the state, including the establishment of gas plants in each of the three senatorial districts. Managing Director Deji Afolabi highlighted the company’s focus on reducing the cost of gas per kilogram and committed to providing round-the-clock power to the State Secretariat and Government House.
Meanwhile, First Tricon Construction Services Limited, represented by Chairman Otunba Olumuyiwa, expressed eagerness to contribute to the Governor’s infrastructure initiatives. The company has allocated a $60 million investment fund towards developing roads, bridges, water systems, and housing projects throughout Osun State.
Both companies outlined their proposed projects, emphasizing their commitment to executing them under Public-Private Partnership arrangements. They praised Governor Ademola Adeleke’s policy reforms and expressed confidence in the state’s conducive business environment.
In response, Governor Adeleke reiterated Osun State’s commitment to facilitating business operations and welcomed the substantial proposals presented by the investing parties. He highlighted the state’s readiness for development and extended a warm invitation to commence the projects.
The investments are expected to significantly boost infrastructure development and energy sustainability in Osun State, showcasing the government’s dedication to economic growth and environmental progress.
