Norway’s November oil production, natural gas liquids (NGL), and condensate production have been reported in the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate’s (NPD) recent release, showing an average daily output of 2,014,000 barrels.
In specific, the average daily liquid production for November comprised 1,779,000 barrels of oil, 216,000 barrels of NGL, and 20,000 barrels of condensate.
However, November’s oil production is noted to be 3.1% lower than anticipated by the NPD and 0.9% under the forecast for the year.
Simultaneously, gas sales saw an uptick in November, reaching 10.9 billion Sm3 (GSm3), marking a 0.7 (GSm3) increase compared to the previous month’s figures.
Overall, the cumulative petroleum production for 2023 in Norway has reached approximately 211.9 million Sm3 oil equivalents (MSm3 o.e.).
This figure comprises roughly 94.9 MSm3 o.e. of oil, around 11.7 MSm3 o.e. of NGL and condensate, and approximately 105.4 MSm3 o.e. of gas for sale. Notably, this overall volume is 1.1 MSm3 o.e. lesser than the production in 2022.
The NPD’s report showcases fluctuations in the country’s oil and gas sectors, with November witnessing a dip in oil output while observing a modest rise in gas sales.
