Trinidad and Tobago is set to enhance their natural gas supply by pursuing additional deals with Venezuela after receiving a license to extract from the Dragon project.
With declining gas reserves, the nations aim to develop more offshore gas fields within mutual territories.
The Dragon project, facilitated by Shell Plc, involves transporting gas to Trinidad and Tobago’s Atlantic LNG plant, potentially starting with 175 million cubic feet per day and scaling up to 350 million cubic feet daily.
The move aligns with efforts to secure energy resources and meet growing regional demand.
