The Power Grid Corporation of India has greenlighted a substantial investment of $87.6 million USD aimed at bolstering electricity transmission projects across the nation in a significant move poised to enhance the country’s power infrastructure.
This strategic financial infusion is expected to strengthen the transmission network, promising improved power supply and reliability nationwide.
The lion’s share of the investment, totaling approximately $ 68.7 million USD, will be directed towards the Unified Load Dispatch and Communication (ULDC) Phase-III project.
This initiative, focusing on the SCADA/EMS Upgradation for Northern Region State Load Dispatch Centers (SLDCs), is anticipated to revolutionize power dispatch and communication management, setting a new standard for operational efficiency and reliability.
Additionally, an investment of $18.8 million USD has been approved to augment a 765/400 kV, 1500 MVA transformer at Bhiwani, further reinforcing the backbone of the nation’s power supply.
These projects represent a significant leap towards modernizing India’s electricity transmission framework and ensuring energy security and reliability for the future.
