Leveraging Expertise for Integrated Solutions
The collaboration combines TechnipFMC’s expertise in system design and integration for offshore energy projects with Prysmian’s leadership in the production and installation of submarine power cables. Together, the companies plan to offer a complete water column solution, spanning from the seabed to the ocean surface to support offshore wind projects.
TechnipFMC and Prysmian will deliver this integrated solution using the Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation (iEPCI™) model. This approach will streamline project execution by combining mooring and anchoring systems with dynamic inter-array and export cable systems. The companies believe this will improve project economics and reduce execution risks for floating offshore wind projects. The expertise of TechnipFMC and Prysmian in offshore wind is key to this innovative model.
